ROBYN K. FACTOR

Robyn K. Factor joined Kirshenbaum & Kirshenbaum in 1994 as an associate focusing on Workers’ Compensation and Civil Litigation. Before joining Kirshenbaum & Kirshenbaum, she practiced with Maguire, Toghia & Orbach located in Los Angeles, California, concentrating in Construction, Real Estate and Business Litigation.  Between 1988 and 1991, Robyn was an associate with Ball, Hunt, Hart, Brown and Baerwitz, also in Los Angeles, working in the Business Litigation group.

Robyn joined the California Bar in 1988 and the Rhode Island Bar in 1994, and continues to maintain both affiliations.

After graduating from Cranston High School West in 1980, she pursued a BA degree in Psychology, graduating magna cum Laude in 1984. She then proceeded to secure her JD degree from Boston University, graduating in 1988.

Her professional memberships include membership the Rhode Island Bar Association, where she serves on the Workers’ Compensation Bench/Bar Committee.  She is also a member of the Rhode Island Association for Justice and the American Association for Justice.

In addition to Robyn’s professional responsibilities, she has served on the Greater Cranston Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors from 2001 to 2002, held membership in the Junior League of Rhode Island from 1995 to 1997, was a member of the Women’s Network of Rhode Island between 1995 and 1997, serving as a member of the Board of Directors between 1996 and 1997, as well as serving on the Board of Directors of the American Cancer Society – Central Unit from 1995 to 1996.

In September 2006, Robyn was selected for inclusion in The Best Lawyers in America in the area of Workers’ Compensation Law. In 2003, she was featured on the cover of Rhode Island Monthly and named as one of the best Workers’ Compensation attorneys in Rhode Island.

Robyn is married to William R. Forte, Jr. and has three children; Jaime, and stepsons Matthew and Ryan.
